'Beyoncé will be in your life like she’s never been before'

Beyoncé Knowles is the name on almost everybody's lips lately. With her epic super bowl performance not so long ago, her announcement of The Mrs. Carter Show, her interview with the queen of television Oprah Winfrey, and her much anticipated documentary on HBO 'life's but a dream', it is no surprise. This woman has it all and then some. If there was anybody I could be for a day, at this very moment I would pick Mrs. Carter.

I haven't laid my eyes on either her interview with Oprah or her HBO documentary yet, but it is the March 2013 “Power Issue” of Vogue that has left me stunned right now. I have to admit with some reluctance that I am such a prier, an A grade celebrity stalker, I want to know the very intimate details about a celebrities life, only because they seem so far away that knowing what makes them human, just like the rest of us, makes the difference. And in this issue, Beyoncé did that for me, even though there was still more to be revealed through 'Life Is But a Dream' I felt an honest picture of Beyoncé Knowles carved through that article. Especially the love she has for her family. That Beyoncé and Jay-Z kind of love, that Beyoncé and Blue Ivy kind of love. Yes please. Reading things like this make me excited to have a family of my own, be a mother, be a wife, and just feel a different kind of wholeness and happiness.

Regardless of all that, she had a banging photo shoot too. The yummy mummy donned some uber sexy outfits, with looks by Alexander McQueen,  Haider Ackermann and Oscar de la Renta.

Beyoncé is the IT girl of the moment and this moment will last forever.

Blogger Challenge: Day 21

Day 21: Favorite Picture of yourself ALL TIME Why?

I mentioned in one of these previous challenges that I am not so much of a photo taking person even though I wish I could be, so it was kind of hard picking the picture I thought was my all time favourite.

The one below has always been a favourite of mine. It was taken by my mum when we were out on one of our lunch dates.

There is a kind of innocence to it, even though that's exactly what I am, an innocent little bunny.
I think that's why I like it, it captures ME. Literally.

It also reminds me of how much time flies by without you even realising it.
I had just about started university around this time (2009) I was in a new relationship with the love of my life, and I wasn't even sure where time would take me. Looking back, it's hard to believe how much time has flown since then and where I am now.

I guess this is another reason I wish I took more photos, capturing memories like these.

Growing Up

This weekend was by far one of my best weekends this year.
Imagine that.
6 months in, and only now do I have a great weekend.
My life.
The point is, I got to spend the weekend with my loved ones, and experience my not so little sister growing into an old lady.
I love saying that, 'old lady'...
She has this thing where she likes to think everyone but her is old, but now that she is 21 she can bloody well join the club.
And.... because I can, I'm going to rub it in her face.

Even though 21 is still young, I feel that {and I have a few people that agree with me} after 21 its all down hill from there. Agree/disagree?

Any way, I loved this weekend for all sorts of reasons and one of them being that I learned a few things about growing up....

1. The minute you reach your twenties, people already picture you at thirty.

2. Growing Old up does not mean you stop having fun. It just means you redefine what 'fun' is.

3. Big girls do cry

4. Knowing right from wrong is more important now than it ever was.

4. Not only teenagers have drama, that's a b**tch you can never run away from, even when you are 50. All you can do is choose whether to let it affect you.

5. The minute you reach twenty something people start talking marriage and kids O_o

6. You never stop learning

How did the rest of you spend your weekend?

Gift Givers?

Happy Monday!
Hope you guys had a lovely Sunday.

The weather was good out here yesterday, so I took the opportunity to pop over to the mall for a little shopping.

It's my sisters birthday, excuse me, I mean 21st birthday {because those are different} this coming Friday and I have NO idea what to get her as a gift!
It's funny because, I love getting gifts and things for people. I don't know why. Maybe it's because I like getting things, or I like making people happy in any little way I can.
And I guess for me that translates to gift giving.
But its crazy because you would think by now I would have gotten used to this gift giving thing, and I would know off top what to get someone.
But, No.
This is my second trip to the mall, and I am still no further than I was the first time I went.
HELP!

The birthday is this Friday, and I would really really love to make this girls day! Any Ideas?

What would you guys like to give/get for a 21st birthday? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! :)

Have a happy Week!

Fiday Fancies #5

Hi lovelies.
Happy Friday.
I'm so excited this Friday. I'm going away for the weekend to visit my cousin.
The last two weekends have not been all that great considering I spent most of the time drowned in assignments, and even though I still have a lot of studying to do, I'm just glad I can get away for a little while.
A little break can't hurt right?

I've been craving cocktails lately, especially a Sex On The Beach {yum} and today I may just get my chance to go and have a sip or two with my cousin.
She was such a bore when she was pregnant and just after she gave birth, in fact she probably is still a bore now {I haven't seen her in ages} but I do know a little coaxing with some alcohol might do the trick to get her boring ass out.
Fingers crossed on that one.

So because it's Friday and Friday Fancies is upon us again, I decided to put together this outfit.
If money were no object I would be rocking this to my night out on the town. I like the black and gold combination. I know it's too safe, but I can't get over it.
Besides, black is slimming. (",)

Cocktail Night

Don't forget to link up with {av} if you want to escape the constraints of money and look stunning doing it.

Happy Friday!

What is everyone up to this Friday?
